The staff was fantastic very relaxed and did everything they could to make the trip amazing. We just finished our cruise with Dragon Legend and we had the most amazing time aboard.

The crew were all excellent, super friendly, helpful and loved having a joke with everyone. The food was of a very high quality.

They made sure any dietary requirements were met so noone was left hungry. The daily activities were wonderful with kayaking, sightseeing trips, walking to a cave and our favourite, a trip to a local fishing village.

The rooms were very nice, the bed was so comfortable and we slept really well. And of course the incredible views of Bai Tu Long bay along the way made everything so special.

Special thanks to JD, Coco and Tom Cruise and of course the rest of the crew for making our trip a fantastic one. We'd love to go on the cruise again in the future.

My wife and I did the 3 day 2 night cruise and absolutely loved it!! The scenery is stunning but what also made the trip was the comfort of the boat, the great service and attention to detail.

Cabins were clean, food delicious, and plenty of activities. Special thanks to Wang our tour leader and to Tom Cruise who both looked after us very well.

Highly recommend this company, boat and tour. Very well managed operation from start to finish. Food was delicious, and there was a lot of it!

Coco T-Small was a wonderful young man to talk to, and he shared quite a bit about his life. From a traveler's perspective, I enjoyed learning about him and other people inn Vietnam.

The rest of the crew was fantastic as well The crew appeared to be having a good time, which has an affect on the entire trip.

The beds and rooms were wonderful. We were perfectly content with our one night on the bay, but I could understand someone's desire for another night.

We went on the one night cruise, 2 adults, three kids aged 12, 10, 7. The scenery was amazing, the boat very comfortable, cabins were lovely, beds super comfortable and lovely bathrooms with mind blowing scenery as you cruise past.

Food was delicious and very generous. The staff made the trip even better, huge thanks to Harry Potter, Coco, Long and Happy - you guys are awesome, thank you!

The Chinese dragon , is a creature in Chinese mythology that also appears in other Asian cultures, and is sometimes called the Oriental or Eastern dragon.

Depicted as a long, snake-like creature with four legs, it has long been a potent symbol of auspicious power in Chinese folklore and art.

This type of dragon, however, is sometimes depicted as a creature constructed of many animal parts. It might have the fins of some fish, or the horns of a stag.

Gong Gong Dragon Kings. A serpentine dragon common to no cultures influenced by Hinduism. They are often cloaked like a mongoose and may have several heads depending on their rank.

They usually have no arms or legs but those with limbs resemble the Chinese dragon. Other dragons are the Vrtra the serpent dragon who is defeated by Indra the thunder god and king of heaven, and the other evil serpent in Vedic lore, Ahi cognate with the Zoroastrian Azi Dahaka.

Another dragon who appears in the Indian mythology is- the Kaliya nag, which was defeated by lord Krishna. It is said that Krishna did not kill the snake and left it.

The Kaliya Nag is said to have more than fangs. All the above references are more inclined towards larger snakes, not dragons.

A giant serpent like python but more huge in size and shape and in some references having hood like cobra. They spit fire or have burning breath.

They don't have wings or hands or legs. Similar to Chinese dragons , with three claws instead of four. They are usually benevolent, associated with water, and may grant wishes.

Like its Indian counterpart, the neak is often depicted with cobra like characteristics such as a hood. The number of heads can be as high as nine, the higher the number the higher the rank.

Odd-headed dragons are symbolic of male energy while even headed dragons symbolize female energy.

Traditionally, a neak is distinguished from the often serpentine Makar and Tao, the former possessing crocodilian traits and the latter possessing feline traits.

A dragon princess is the heroine of the creation myth of Cambodia. In pure Korean, it is also known as 'mireu'.

A hornless ocean dragon, sometimes equated with a sea serpent. Imoogi literally means, "Great Lizard". The legend of the Imoogi says that the sun god gave the Imoogi their power through a human girl, which would be transformed into the Imoogi on her 17th birthday.

Legend also said that a dragon-shaped mark would be found on the shoulder of the girl, revealing that she was the Imoogi in human form.

In fact, the Chinese character for this word is also used for the imoogi. The Bakunawa appears as a gigantic serpent that lives in the sea.

Ancient natives believed that the Bakunawa caused the moon or the sun to disappear during an eclipse. It is said that during certain times of the year, the Bakunawa arises from the ocean and proceeds to swallow the moon whole.

To keep the Bakunawa from completely eating the moon, the natives would go out of their houses with pots and pans in hand and make a noise barrage in order to scare the Bakunawa into spitting out the moon back into the sky.

Some say that the Bakunawa is known to kill people by imagining their death and remote in eye contact. These dragons' bodies curve lithely, in sine shape, with 12 sections, symbolising 12 months in the year.

They are able to change the weather, and are responsible for crops. On the dragon's back are little, uninterrupted, regular fins. The head has a long mane, beard, prominent eyes, crest on nose, but no horns.

Catalan dragons are serpent-like creatures with two legs rarely four and, sometimes, a pair of wings.

Their faces can resemble that of other animals, like lions or cattle. They have a burning breath. Their breath is also poisonous, the reason by which dracs are able to rot everything with their stench.

Authors tend often to present the dragon legends as symbol of Christianity's victory over paganism, represented by a harmful dragon. The French representation of dragons spans much of European history, and has even given its name to the dragoons , a type of cavalry.

Lindworms are serpent-like dragons with either two or no legs. In Nordic and Germanic heraldry, the lindworm looks the same as a wyvern.

The dragon Fafnir was a lindworm. Wyverns are common in medieval heraldry. Their usual blazon is statant. Wyverns are normally shown as dragons with two legs and two wings.

According to local folklore the hill at Knotlow Derbyshire was the lair of a dragon and the terraces around it were made by the coils of its tail.

Knotlow is an ancient volcanic vent and this may explain the myth.

Halong Bay is best to discover on an overnight cruise, by which you can listen to the legend of Dragon, experience the daily lives of the tranquil floating villages and see the marvelous nature in the emerald waters through various activities from swimming, kayaking around rocky mountain to visiting magical cave, having a BBQ on a wild beach or exploring floating villages… and tasting the best of local seafood and Vietnamese traditional dishes.

From the moment you step onboard, check in your cabin, experience outdoor activities or relax on the sundeck, you are served by our attentive staffs treating you as the close friends visiting home, we are always there with a smile and helping hand.

Your experience while cruising Halong bay is all of what we care because you deserve it and Halong bay will be a lifetime experience of your memories!

This was my second Halong Bay cruise my first was 9 years ago with a different tour company called Handspan. This ship owned by Indochina Junk was far superior.

Our room was HUGE - the size of a small apartment, with a western-style bed the only western-style bed we slept in during out entire two week trip!!

It's served at set times, but you are so well fed that you will not find yourself hungry. The ship was able to cater to my husband's severe peanut allergy, which was incredibly helpful.

The ship's crew was superb: Kenny G was funny and spoke fantastic English, as did his sidekick Tony his smile is contagious! And you won't know it until the end, but Robinson is a master on the guitar, and Tom Cruise is plays an amazing flute!

The staff were truly superb, and would run to get anything we needed. My only criticism is that perhaps alcoholic drinks should be included in the price, although for western standards, the drink prices were pretty cheap anyway.

If you're looking to do a cruise of the Halong Bay area, this is the one to choose. It's a tad pricier than other cruises, but well worth the money!

The boat was really nice and I was very Happy we did not see so many boats on the tour. It felt that we were alone on Halong Bay. The staff was fantastic very relaxed and did everything they could to make the trip amazing.

According to local folklore the hill at Knotlow Derbyshire was the lair of a dragon and the terraces around it were made by the coils of its tail.

Knotlow is an ancient volcanic vent and this may explain the myth. The New Forest folktale states that the dragon lived in Burley, Hampshire , and terrorised the village of Bisterne.

Though the knight survived, the trauma of the battle drove him mad, and soon after he returned to the hill to die, his corpse becoming a yew tree.

There is a brief mention of a Dragon on Bignor Hill south of the village of Bignor near the famous Roman Villa, apparently "A Large dragon had its den on Bignor Hill, and marks of its folds were to be seen on the hill".

Similar legends have been told of ridges around other hills, such as at Wormhill in Derbyshire. Kilve in West Somerset is said to have once been home to a dragon called Blue Ben which the devil used as a steed.

The skull of a fossilised Ichthyosaur on display in the local museum is sometimes pointed out as belonging to Blue Ben. The legend says that it curled around Worm Hill near Fatfield in northeast England, would eat livestock and children, and was killed during the time of the Crusades by a Sir John Lambton.

In Welsh mythology , after a long battle which the Welsh King Vortigern witnesses a red dragon defeats a white dragon; Merlin explains to Vortigern that the red dragon symbolizes the Welsh, and the white dragon symbolizes the Saxons — thus foretelling the ultimate defeat of the English by the Welsh.

A dragon in human form. Most of them are giants with multiple heads. Their strength is held in their heads. They become gradually weaker as they lose their heads.
